New Student Parents

Thank you for making this special trip with your student. We planned some sessions specifically for you, and we would love to have you stay if you are able. These parent sessions are on Friday morning."

New Student Registration 
Thursday, August 20

Please note dress for arrival and orientation is casual. (jeans, shorts, sweatpants)
We do ask however that you do not wear shorts to the All-School Assembly! Thank you!

Registration

10:30 to 12:30 p.m. in Nettleton Center

New Students, during the registration process, you will receive your keys, room assignment, and schedules. We will also make sure that all of your forms are completed and verify that your information is correct to ensure a smooth transition to classes!

Move In

After Registration in Residence Halls

Once you are finished checking in, you can move into your room! Your corresponding RAs will be at your residence hall or apartment to answer questions and help with your move-in process. 

Be sure to make it to the All-School Assembly at 8:00 p.m!

Lunch

12:00 to 1:30 p.m. in Benson Hall

New Students and their families are welcome to enjoy lunch in our dining hall for free during this time. 

Free Time

1:30 to 4:45 p.m. in Residence Halls

Please use this time to settle into your room and get to know your roommates! Parents are welcome in the residence halls at this time. If you need any help carrying in items, RAs and Deepen Group Leaders will be there to assist you.

All School 

Assembly

8:00-9:00 p.m. in Nettleton Gym

Kick off the new year together at our All-School Assembly! This fun welcome event brings new and returning students together for the first time as a full campus community. Join us for singing, admissions giveaways, and more as we celebrate the start of a new school year! 

Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Breakfast

7:00 to 8:45 a.m. in Benson Hall

New Student and their families are welcome to enjoy breakfast in our dining hall for free during this time.

Parent Session

9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Nettleton Gym

These special sessions have been designed specifically for parents to encourage and inform them as their children enter college.

Free Time

11:00 to 12:00 p.m.

Enjoy spending time with your student on and off campus

Lunch

12:00 to 1:30 p.m. in Benson Hall

Printable Full Schedule

Please Note: Our registrations times during Welcome Week are specifically designed to help students have a smooth transition to college and campus life. Students cannot move into their dorm rooms unless they have completed or received items (given at registration) to allow them into their rooms. Therefore, we cannot allow students to check-in to their rooms early.
